Los Angeles One Of The 10 Cities That ICE Will Begin Immigration Raids On Sunday
“Next week ICE will begin the process of removing the millions of illegal aliens who have illicitly found their way into the United States,” said President Trump in a tweet on Monday. “They will be removed as fast as they come in.”
Beginning Sunday, Immigration and Customs Enforcement are set to arrest and deport undocumented immigrants with court-ordered removals in 10 cities including Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles Police Department’s released statement:
“The Department is aware of upcoming Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) actions beginning this Sunday, directed toward individuals who have been issued final deportation orders,” said LAPD. “The Department is not participating or assisting in any of these enforcement actions.”
Residents in the Lancaster and Palmdale in Los Angeles County have shared images to their social media accounts warning locals on possible ICE checkpoints. ICE did not release any details on the scope of the operation.
“We have over a million people that had due process, fair hearing and a judge has ordered them removed and they still remain here,” said Ice’s acting director Mark Morgan. “We are going to start looking at that demographic and start enforcing the law.”
San Francisco is also another city targeted for immigration raids by ICE.
“It is unconscionable that the Federal administration is targeting innocent immigrant families with secret raids that are designed to inflict as much fear and pain as possible,” said San Francisco Mayor London Breed.”Residents should call the SF Rapid Response Hotline at 415-200-1548 to report raids or get deportation legal assistance.”
