Projected President-Elect Joe Biden Rough Houses with Family Dog, Receives Hairline Fracture in Return
Projected-President-elect Joe Biden sustained a hairline foot fracture over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend after rough-housing with one of the family dogs “Major.” Biden will wear a protective boot for several weeks, Biden’s personal physician of over 10 years, Dr. Kevin O’Connor said in a statement.
Following the accident, O’Connor ordered a CT scan after a physical clinical examination indicated his injury was not a mere sprain of the ankle.
“Initial x-rays did not show any obvious fracture, but his clinical exam warranted more detailed imaging,” said Dr. O’Brian.
“[A] follow-up CT scan confirmed hairline (small) fractures of President-elect Biden’s lateral and intermediate cuneiform bones, which are in the midfoot. It is anticipated that he will likely require a walking boot for several weeks.”
Though a hairline fracture isn’t typically considered too alarming of an injury, the septuagenarian’s increasing age and the commensurate medical constitution has been subject to public scrutiny on both sides of the political aisle.
Biden, 78, will break the record for the oldest person to hold the presidential office if members of the electoral college vote him as victor on Dec. 14.
In addition to his trouble-making-pooch, “Major”, Biden plans on bringing their second pup “Champ” and a new cat of an undivulged breed and name into the White House upon victory, the Chicago Tribune reported.
