When President-elect Joe Biden gets sworn into office on Jan. 20, President Donald Trump will not be the only Trump saying goodbye to Washington D.C. Trump’s daughter, Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner are moving to “Miami’s Billionaire Bunker.”
The couple closed on the $32.2 million lot in Miami-Dade County Florida in December. Ivanka and Jared’s lot is on Indian Creek, an exclusive community in the area, nicknamed “Miami’s Billionaire Bunker.” The area is home to only 86 people, “several of whom are billionaires.”
The houses on the island surround a private 18-hole golf course, with amazing views from each extravagant home. Ivanka and Jared will have new neighbors that are athletes, models, businessmen, and even billionaires who prefer to remain anonymous.
The Kushners bought the land from Spanish singer Julio Iglesias, who owned more than one plot of land in Indian Creek. The famous singer sold them the exclusive land, despite his well-known dislike of Ivanka’s father. In 2015, Iglesias called President Trump a “clown”, and refused to perform at his casinos.
While the couple plans to move to Miami, they are already facing one hardship fitting into their new neighborhood. The Indian Creek Country Club told Ivanka and Jared they “need not apply” to be members. This is not the first time a member of the neighborhood has been unwelcomed from the exclusive club.
The club’s decision followed a tweet from Ivanka on Jan. 6 about American patriots that has since been deleted.
After facing immediate backlash from the tweet, Ivanka deleted it, then Tweeted “Violence is unacceptable and must be condemned in the strongest terms.”
Even though they may not be welcome in the exclusive country club, the couple will likely get along well with the neighborhood residents. According to the Miami Herald, Donald Trump received 79% of the island’s votes in the 2020 election.
One resident is even long-approved by President Trump. Tampa Bay quarterback Tom Brady and his wife, supermodel Gisele Bündchen, recently bought a $17 million property in Indian Creek. This wealthy couple is just one of many upper class residents that Ivanka and Jared will now call their neighbors.
