Tesla stock continues to skyrocket as Elon Musk leads the charge in electric vehicles. His newest product? Revamped versions of the Model S and Model X cars, both of which have a gaming console and can run games like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
Musk tweeted later that the car can also play Cyberpunk 2077. Both Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher are CD Projekt Red’s newest games.
10 TERAFLOPS OF POWER
While previous models allowed for some game play with Cuphead and Cat Quest, the Tesla Arcade installed on newer models allows for higher levels of difficulty. The arcade is similar to the PS5 and Xbox series X, some of the most recently released gaming consoles.
“Up to 10 teraflops of processing power enables in-car gaming on-par with today’s newest consoles. Wireless controller compatibility lets you game from any seat,” Tesla’s website reads.
10 teraflops is near the PS5’s 10.28 teraflops and Xbox Series X’s 12 teraflops of power. The screen used for game play is 2200×1300 resolution, 17 inches and can tilt side to side allowing it to be seen by any seat in the car.
The cars are priced over $80,000 and will ship in March. Some details, like which controllers will be wirelessly compatible with the console, remain unknown. Tesla has also yet to announce if Nvidia or AMD GPUs will be in the arcade, or another source of Musk’s own invention.
