Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) claimed if the Republicans take over the House of Representatives in 2022, Vice President Kamala Harris could be impeached for “incitement of insurrection.”

While on “Fox News Sunday,” Graham criticized the trial record, saying it was a “joke.”

“The case presented to the Senate by the House Managers was based on hearsay after hearsay combined with media reports.”

Democrats have argued the impeachment trial is not because they hate former President Donald Trump, but because they feel that they must set a precedent that no president is above the law and should not get away with inciting violence.

Graham responded to the Democrats’ statement on Sunday.

“If you use this model, I don’t know how Kamala Harris doesn’t get impeached if the Republicans take over the House because she actually bailed out rioters and one of the rioters went back to the streets and broke somebody’s head open. We’ve opened Pandora’s box here and I’m sad for the country.”

Graham also warned that this could only be the beginning of impeachments to come.

“What more could you do to incite future violence, than to pay the bail of the people who broke up the shops and beat up the cops…How’s that not inciting future violence? Be careful what you wish for, my Democratic colleagues, be careful what you wish for.”
