Kim Kardashian officially filed for divorce from Kanye West after nearly seven years of marriage.
The divorce comes after months of rumors about a potential split.
The two got married in Italy on May 24, 2014, after their first daughter was born in 2013.
Kardashian filed the divorce documents on Feb. 19.
The 40-year-old reality TV star asked for joint legal and physical custody of their four children: North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm.
According to Daily Mail, a source confirmed that “the split is amicable and there is no drama.” Court documents confirmed that the two would comply with their prenup and agree on how to split the property.
Another source told Daily Mail that their marriage “has been broken for a long time.”
“She is doing okay. She is sad, but ready to move on,” the source said.
“Kim feels like she has done everything she can to save it. Filing for divorce is something she has been thinking about for a long time,” the source continued. “She has also been dreading it. She really, really has done everything to avoid filing.”
“Last year, she hoped they could somehow work things out,’ they added. “In the past few weeks though, it has been clear that they are done. Although, there is still love, they are just too different and have different visions for the future.”
Kardashian has had little contact with West.
The two began to have tension last July when West announced his run for President of the United States.
He ranted about abortion at a campaign rally and, more specifically, said he wanted to abort their first child, North, when they first found out Kim was pregnant.
A source told People Magazine that the 43-year-old rapper “isn’t happy” and “this is a somber day for him.”
“It’s as amicable as possible, but amicable doesn’t mean joyful or ideal,” the source told People. “It just means that they’re being adults about the whole thing.”
Reportedly, Kardashian has not been wearing her wedding band.
